Nutrition is a critical part of health and development, at AHTI we are focused on improving infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth via nutrition.
Arewa Health Trust Initiative (AHTI) is a fully indigenous NGO, affiliated with the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria,
working since 2005 in Northwest Nigeria, implementing public health intervention programs for the control of HIV/AIDS, Malaria,
and Tuberculosis (including MDR TB).
Our work involves working with marginalized, poor and vulnerable groups aimed at sustainable community structures to create
community ownership of health-related issues as well as promoting sustainable participatory development.
We have worked with over 800 health facilities and their immediate communities. We also partner with various Community
Based Organizations and Government Agencies at various levels to ensure our projects achieve significant and sustainable health outcomes.
We are commited to dealing with the HIV/AIDS, Malaria, TB, Hepatitis and now COVID 19 crisis that is ravaging communities and cities throughout Nigeria and destroying lives. AHTI is trying to provide an integrated, holistic response to the crisis, ensuring increased effectiveness in combating the disease, while moving towards a more advanced society.
